On Oct. 30 2024, AIST Group consisted of AIST and AIST Solutions, concluded a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with Netherlands Organisation for Applied Scientific Research (TNO) in a wide range of technological fields.
AIST and TNO have been collaborating in wind power generation and hydrogen energy.
Through the discussions including one among AIST president Mr. ISHIMURA, AISol president Mr. OSAKA, and TNO CEO Dr. TJIN-A-TSOI in May 2024, further possibilities of collaboration in the fields relevant to all AIST’s research departments including Smart Mobility, Quantum Technology, as well as the Social Implementation of research results of both parties have been newly found.
TNO is central to promoting applied research in the Netherlands and contributes to building innovation ecosystems.
Through the conclusion of the MOU, collaboration in a wide range of fields can be expected in both Japan and the Netherlands.
